Sour Fig Infused Gin – a new Cape classic?

The fruits of our indigenous succulent Sour Fig – Carpobrotus edulis – infused in gin. I got fed up with not having Sloe Gin, so am trying out some local plants. So far the result is pretty palatable with the dried fruits having imparted a beautiful golden reddish-brown colour to the gin. I think it should mellow nicely with age.
